A stakeholder taskforce was commissioned at the end the 2023 session of the Minnesota legislature and asked to develop a consensus path forward for an LCF bill. The resulting stakeholder group report recommended a 13-17% CI reduction in 2030 and 40-50% reduction in 2040. On March 18, 2025, HF2847 was introduced into the Minnesota House of Representatives, seeking a 25% CI reduction in 10 years and a 75% reduction in 20 years. The bill is under consideration in the House Committee on Transportation Finance and Policy. The Minnesota legislature adjourns for the year on May 19, 2025.
